Scourge is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide that impacts the nervous system. The pyrethroid insecticide in the spray has been known to cause thyroid, liver and immune system problems. Scourge also contains pipernyl butoxide and is not recommended for human exposure.
Malathion is an organophosphate insecticide that is considered a low-level carcinogen but it can still be somewhat harmful to humans and highly toxic for aquatic environments. Health issues associated with Malathion are mostly neurological.
Finally, we have Permethrin, a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide that is also considered a neurotoxin. Permethrin is known to have impacts on the immune system and cause birth defects. You do not want to expose your skin to this insecticide for it can cause serious irritation and pain.
